CCR Products offers precision glass balls manufactured from 3 different types of glass: soda lime, borosilicate and black glass. Each can be supplied in a variety of finishes and colors, from a matte to a highly polished finish. Glass balls are resistant to corrosion and chemical absorption. They are dimensionally stable under high temperature conditions. The most common type of glass balls supplied by CCR Products is made from soda lime glass. It is used in cosmetic, medical, and industrial applications where balls are not be subjected to thermal mechanical shock. Soda Lime glass balls are highly resistant to high alkaline solutions.

If your application exposes the glass balls to temperatures up to 600°F (290°C) for an extended period of time, we recommend borosilicate glass balls, which are also highly resistant to corrosion and most acids. Black glass balls are not as resistant to corrosion. They are commonly used in flow meters and aircraft instrumentation.
